Dedication Bench Program
The Plano Parks Dedication Bench Program provides an opportunity to support Plano's parks and recognize the positive impact a strong park system has on the community's well-being. Through this program, donors can show their support for the Plano Parks System by:

Honoring the benefits the Plano Parks System has brought to an individual's or family's quality of life.

Allowing organizations and businesses to demonstrate their commitment to maintaining a thriving park system in their community.
A contribution of $10,000 payable to the Plano Parks Foundation includes a bench with a plaque, an accessible concrete pad, site/irrigation repair, and installation by a city-approved contractor. Benches are limited to 5 per year and installed quarterly. Applications can be submitted beginning January 1 of each year.
Location
Guidelines
All bench locations must be reviewed and approved by Plano Parks with the following guidelines:

Benches will be mounted on a concrete pad

Benches will be located within a park or trail in the following locations:

Adjacent to a playground
-
Adjacent to a trailhead or park entrance

Near a grouping of shade trees
-
Adjacent to a multi-use court
-
Adjacent to trails at pre-approved locations
-
Adjacent to existing trails in parks, subject to approval
-
Benches will be monitored and maintained by the Plano Parks Department for 10 years
